American actor and rapper Earl Simmons was born December 18 1970 and passed away April 9, 2021. His debut album It's Hot and Dark, was released in 1998 to great critical and commercial satisfaction. The album sold more than 251,000 copies in its first week. In 1999, DMX released... and then there was X. The album featured the smash hit track "Party up (Up in Here). The singles from 2003 "Where the Hood At?" and "X I'm Going to Give It to Ya" were also commercially successful. He was also the first artist to be No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart five consecutive times. [7] Overall, DMX sold over 74 million albums worldwide. [8] DMX has appeared in films such as Belly Romeo Must Die (with Exit Wounds), Belly, Romeo Must Die (with Belly), Cradle 2 the Grave (with Cradle 2 the Grave) and Last Hour. He played DMX: Soul of a Man in the reality TV series. This was primarily aired on the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. After spending time in prison for stealing a dog, it was then that he began writing his own lyrics and performing at the local recreation center, which was for younger youngsters.
