Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. Her family was raised in an estate in south London community estate, and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was earned. She was on stage in several productions as a student such as the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Over the past few years she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's debut film is the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After that, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in the year 2008. She has performed on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. After being a regular for the initial two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe would quit the show following a guest appearance in the premiere episode in the season's third. In the television series Salem the actress played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe married her long-time lover, Iddo. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had part in the show with her. the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, is a member of a huge family living in Hamilton, Ontario. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers, who were all very physically active, were all playing hockey during the winters and baseball in the summer, so she basically grew up in parks and arenas. Ashley did not walk; instead, she danced. In the age of two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer immediately after that. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions in jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics as well as pointe until the time she completed in high school. Ashley won the best soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention some.
