Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1996, in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. The daughter is an Argentinean with Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother hails from Spanish and English origin. She was the first born of a household with six kids. Four are her siblings from the previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family was initially from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. According to Taylor-Joy, this removal was extremely difficult for her and she was unable to study English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she changed schools from Northlands. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in shows. When she was 16 she left the school to pursue a profession as an actress full-time. From a young age Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to become an actress and her goals were realized when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
